Announcing a special tour featuring the Irish fiddle great: Frankie Gavin, (renowned fiddler of De Danann fame) will be performing with Jim DeWan.

Jim DeWan has a reputation as one of the pre-eminent Irish guitarists in the United States. The list of musicians with whom he has worked reads like a Who's Who of Irish music. Martin Hayes, John Whelan, Randal Bays, Kevin Burke, Paddy Keenan, John Williams, Jimmy Keane, Laurence Nugent, Kieran O'Hare, Riverdance fiddler Liz Knowles and Cape Breton's favorite son, Jerry Holland, are but a few of the master instrumentalists whose playing he has backed. Since 1987 he has performed regularly with world-renowned Irish fiddler, Liz Carroll.

Jim appears on an increasing number of fine recordings, including those by Liz Carroll (Green Linnet), Laurence Nugent (Shanachie), Robbie Fulks (Bloodshot), and John Williams (Green Linnet) as well as forthcoming projects by singer and multi-instrumentalist Kathleen Keane and national finger-style guitar champion Eric Lugosch, who whom he is co-producing. As producer, he has worked with Irish fiddle champion Brendan Bulger, the American composer and fiddler Steve Budde. He is featured prominently on "Hidden Treasures" (Big Chicago Records) a compilation of Chicago Irish musicians.
